CONTROLPRES is a modern single-phase automation device with logic electronic circuitry that replaces traditional expansion tank control systems. Compared to other similar devices, it reduces and stabilizes the pressure drawn by the pump and makes it possible to obtain the required constant pressure in the distribution system even with variable withdrawal. The reduced and stabilised outlet pressure can be set in the range from 3 to 6.5 bar. By opening the tapping point, the pump is started and remains in operation for the entire tapping period.

After opening the tapping point, the pressure in the distribution system drops to the level of the starting pressure at which the pump is started.

The pressure in the distribution system is reduced and stabilized to the preset value by a pressure reducing valve. When the withdrawal is complete, the flow sensor evaluates the flow termination and the pump is switched off. If there is no pressure in the distribution system at this time, a fault is evaluated, the red signal is illuminated, the pump is switched off permanently and thus protected against dry-running. Once the water shortage has been eliminated, automatic operation can be resumed by pressing the RESET button. The start-up pressure is determined by the outlet pressure setting.
