The VE.Bus BMS device is designed to reliably and safely manage Victron energy's LiFePO BMS batteries. Each LiFePO battery cell must be protected against deep discharge, overcharging and high temperatures. A custom balancer is an obvious and integral part of every Victron energy LiFePO battery. In particular, the BMS device has the following protective functions: - cell protection against deep discharge by disconnecting the load - protection of the cells against overcharging by voltage reduction or interruption of the charging process - shuts down the entire system if a critical temperature is reached The VE.Bus device can be connected to inverter/chargers of the MultiPlus and Quattro series as well as to Phoenix inverters with a VE.Bus socket for connecting an RJ45 UTP cable connector. LED indicators for operating status: Blue LED indicator marked Enabled - registration of the connected device with VE.Bus input Red - voltage is higher than 4 V per cell or temperature is too high, disconnect charging Blue - voltage is higher than 2.8 V per cell LiFePO BMS batteries are equipped with a pair of wiring harnesses for connection to VE.Bus BMS devices. At the same time, the battery has an interface to connect to the VE.Bus BMS device. Up to ten LiFePO batteries can be arranged in parallel and four in series using the VE.Bus BMS device. A total voltage of up to 48 V and high capacity can thus be achieved.
