With the handy MECHANIC BRAKE BLEEDING SET 8 you can change brake fluid at home. Brake fluid has the ability to absorb moisture in the air, thus lowering its boiling point and negatively altering its operating properties. By lowering its boiling point (greater than 230 °C for new fluid), high temperatures are generated during prolonged braking and the fluid, which has even the smallest water content, turns water into vapour. The resulting vapour is compressible and thus reduces the effects of the brake fluid. It is recommended to change the brake fluid every 1-3 years, or according to the measured degrees - from 181°C and above - no change is necessary, 171°C - 180°C - change is recommended, 170°C and below - change is necessary!

Application:
1. Remove the wheel where you plan to do the venting.
2. Open the fluid in the brake fluid reservoir and top it up if necessary.
3. Start at the farthest point from the brake fluid reservoir (most often the rear right wheel) and work your way towards the nearest (front left wheel).
4. A helper in the cab of the car slowly presses the brake pedal and keeps it depressed.
At this time, loosen the bolt or valve on the bleeder valve of the brake caliper or cylinder unit.
5. Once the brake fluid stream starts to flow without air bubbles, tighten the screw or valve and stop pressing the pedal.
6. Repeat the procedure until you are sure that all the air has been removed. Make sure that the fluid in the tank remains at the same level at all times.
7. After bleeding the brakes, check the brake pedal to make sure there are no braking problems. Alternatively, a test drive can be carried out in a safe place.
