Product detailed description

Practical tester for 7-pole sockets and forks of trailers, caravans and towing vehicles. 12V power supply.


Product parameters:

- measurement of 7-pole plugs and sockets, fault location.
- measurement of 13-pole sockets using an adapter (not included)
- the tester cannot be used for towing sockets with their own control unit (CANBUS)

Trailer lighting measurement procedure:
Insert the trailer lighting fork into the tester and press the yellow button on the side of the unit.
If everything is OK, all LEDs will light up. Each LED indicates the function of one electrical circuit.
If an LED is not lit, there may be faulty wiring, a broken wire or a cracked bulb.
If neither LED is lit, the -12V wire (the frame) is probably broken, or the battery in the device is dead.

Towbar socket measurement procedure:
Switch on the vehicle's lights and turn on the turn signals.
Plug the tester into the vehicle's towing socket and press the yellow button on the side of the unit.
The LED lights indicate which lights are on and are transmitted correctly to the towbar socket.
If no LEDs are illuminated, the -12V wire is probably broken or no vehicle lights are illuminated.

Warning:
Do not plug the tester into the socket of the towing device and the trailer at the same time, the measurement can only be carried out separately!
