The Kidde K7DCO carbon monoxide (CO) detector continuously monitors the presence of toxic carbon monoxide in homes or businesses, providing protection from its deadly effects. In addition to a trio of LED indicator lights, it also features an LCD display that continuously displays CO readings and other status information. The detector can be mounted securely on a wall or simply placed loosely on a table, shelf or other horizontal surface for convenience. It is an ideal safety feature and reliable protection against this silent killer not only for the home, but also in rented accommodation, on holidays, when travelling in motorhomes, caravans, trailers or boats. By approval, it complies with the latest CSN -EN50291:2018 standards for domestic carbon monoxide detectors.

The Kidde K7DCO toxic CO gas leak detector is equipped with an industrial sensor with a 10 year warranty and lifetime. This makes its operating life 40% longer than most conventional CO alarms commonly offered on our market.

After 10 years of protection, the device will announce the end of life and pass on the information that it needs to be replaced.

Kidde carbon monoxide detectors are equipped with two buttons:

Weekly test/reset, which is designed to test and verify the proper functioning of the device and its reset
Max. concentrations, used to display the highest measured CO level detected since the device memory was reset.

The new device also offers a function that informs about the alarm activation in the last 14 days, so that the user can make sure that no unwanted carbon monoxide concentrations have been detected by the detector even in his absence.
The status of the sensor, batteries and internal circuitry is automatically monitored by a microprocessor-controlled security system. In case of detection of a fault, any operating anomaly or low capacity of the supply batteries, this condition will be indicated visually by a yellow LED indicator displaying the corresponding information on the LCD display, accompanied by an appropriate alarm acoustic signal.

In addition, the Kidde K7DCO detector is equipped with a simulation test function for a quick check of the correct response of the CO sensor to the test gas.

Thanks to the special design, there is no need for fixed installation of the device on the wall in the room, but it is also possible to freely place the detector on flat surfaces such as a bedside table, shelf, etc. The design of the shock-resistant housing and battery power supply has enabled the detector to be approved for use not only in houses and apartments, but also in caravans, motorhomes and boats.
