The PEX-AL-PEX plastic-aluminium pipe contains an internal oxygen barrier with a thickness of 0.3 mm, which prevents the penetration of oxygen into the heater, which can later cause corrosion of the material in the heater. The piping can be connected with brass screwed or press fit couplings with any pliers.

PEX-AL-PEX five-layer plastic-aluminium pipes are the ideal combination of the best of both the metal and plastic pipe worlds. The pipe itself consists of an inner and outer layer of cross-linked polyethylene and with aluminium on both sides. Due to the smooth inner surface of the cross-linked polyethylene, they are characterised by low pressure drop, and do not suffer from limescale build-up. The pipes also have an oxygen barrier and are not subject to corrosion. They are easy to shape, bend and connect using compression or screw fittings
