The ZigBee protocol operates on the well-expanding 2.4 GHz frequency
ZigBee connectivity is a MESH connection, which means that each device with a constant ZigBee power supply acts as a relay for the other devices. As long as the remote sensor does not have a connection to the ZigBee gateway, it just needs to have a radio connection to another ZigBee device that has constant power and is connected to the gateway. The devices work in a mesh connection chain, which ensures reliability and connection security.
