We offer a 3-year warranty on this product. The UT343A is a high precision paint thickness meter that can measure paint thickness on ferrous (ferromagnetic) and non-ferrous (paramagnetic and diamagnetic) metals.
Electrically non-conductive or conductive lacquers on ferromagnetic metals such as iron or steel (for example: galvanized steel sheet) can be measured by the electromagnetic induction method (the instrument setting symbol is Fe), where the thickness of the lacquer is measured according to the magnitude of the magnetic flux flowing from the sensor through the non-ferrous magnetic lacquer into the ferromagnetic substrate.
You can measure the thickness of electrically non-conductive coatings on non-magnetic metallic materials such as aluminium or copper using the eddy current measurement method (NFe instrument setup symbol). The principle is to measure the differences of the eddy electric currents generated by the instrument in the non-magnetic metallic substrate material.

This instrument features high precision, non-destructive paint thickness measurement, and both single-point and multi-point averaging algorithm and rapid measurement functions. Automatic substrate type detection, high thickness measurement range of 0 to 1850 μm, automatic conversion of μm units to mil. Up to 199 measurement groups can be stored in memory. Easy multi-point calibration on supplied calibrated samples.
