VOLT A80 Battery Charger 6/12/24V 15,000 mAh
Code: TI_06437080Product detailed description
VOLT A80 6V/12V/24V 15000mAh is the first battery charger on the market with a microprocessor-based control system using PWM technology, capable of charging batteries up to 24V and offering the option to select non-standard battery voltages. Thanks to its intelligent parameter settings, it enables the regeneration of a discharged battery.
Features:
- Automatic charger designed for charging 6V and 12V lead-acid VRLA car batteries (AGM and GEL)
- Continuous system testing and charging mode switching among 4 modes (constant voltage; constant current; trickle charge modulation; float charge modulation) to regenerate the battery
- Multi-level battery protection thanks to an advanced microprocessor-based control system
- Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) technology, which automatically charges the battery in a 4-stage charging cycle
- Charging current: 0–15 A
- Input voltage: 150 VAC–250 VAC
- Output voltage: 6V/8V/12V/14V/16V/24V
- Maximum output power: 250W
- Output voltage frequency: 50/60 Hz
- Voltage: 6V (2±7.4V)/12V (8V±14.5V)/24V (18V±29V)
- Operating temperature: -30 °C to +50 °C
- Protection class: IP 20
- Dimensions: 13.5 x 17 x 7 cm
- Weight: 0.95 kg
Smart Operating Modes:
- Constant voltage: Use constant voltage to charge the battery; check to make sure the charging current is not too high, and reduce it during the charging process.
- Constant current: Indicates that the battery voltage is lower than the charger's set voltage, but the charger will maintain a constant charging current for the battery.
- Trickle Charge Modulation: When the battery voltage approaches the set voltage and the charging current is close to the set current, the system switches to floating charge modulation mode. This means that the battery is charged but is constantly monitored for voltage drops and is automatically recharged with alternating current.
- Floating Charge Modulation: This mode will keep the battery fully charged.
Protective features:
- Overheating protection: When the charger's temperature exceeds 150°C, the charger stops charging. Once the temperature drops to 80°C or the charger has been turned off for about 10 minutes, the battery can be recharged.
- Short-circuit protection: If a short circuit occurs, the device will automatically stop. This is indicated by a long beep. Then plug it in securely to restart automatic charging.
- Reverse Connection Protection: If the terminals ( +/- ) are accidentally connected in reverse, the charger will signal this with a long, intermittent beep. Once the terminals are connected correctly, charging will resume.
Charging process:
- The charger's charging process is based on a pulse charging system - Charging for 5 seconds followed by a 1-second pause causes most of the oxygen generated during charging to become electrolyte. This method not only limits gas formation, but the charger can also repair a sulfated battery.
When the charge indicator shows 25%, 50%, 75%, 100%, it shows the battery percentage:
- Flashing - If the battery capacity is too low, the charger will flash on the display to indicate low voltage.
- Once the charger has restored the battery, it will show a normal charge level again.
- Audible signal - When the battery is fully charged, a repeating audible signal sounds every minute.
- When the charger is turned on, it defaults to smart charging mode. Each time you charge, this product scans and tests the battery. The battery will appear on the battery test screen. After a short while, the charger will switch to one of the following modes (“repair,” “maintenance,” or “maintenance”).
