Product detailed description

The BMV-700 tracker is a new high precision battery health monitoring system.
Why monitor battery operating conditions? To make it last longer! Detailed battery monitoring allows us to detect any operational deficiencies, ensuring quick remediation to support long battery life.
Suitable for all types of lead-acid batteries including rune (AGM) and gel batteries. Easy adjustment of battery capacity (factory setting to 200 Ah). Voltage auto-detection 12, 24, 36, 48, 60, 120, 144 and 288 V. Regular automatic calibration of the instrument for reliable indication of measured data (can also be performed manually). The BMV 700H version is designed for systems with high operating voltages (70 - 350 V DC), the BMV702 version is designed for monitoring two batteries or monitoring the temperature of a battery or xxx. The tracker is also suitable for Li-on batteries.

Basic displayed values:
- current voltage (V) of the battery
- the current current (A) that goes into (positive values - charging) or out (negative values - discharging) of the battery
- the current power (W) that goes into (positive values - charging) or out (negative values - discharging) of the battery (a multiple of voltage and current)
- the total amount of energy drawn from the battery to power the appliances in ampere-hours (Ah)
- current battery charge percentage
- estimated (sophisticatedly calculated) time in hours to 50% battery discharge for a given power consumption

Technical parameters:

- supply voltage 6.5 - 95 V DC
- power consumption with unlit display and relay off: 4 mA (12 V) and 3 mA (24 V)
- power consumption with unlit display and relay on: 15 mA (12 V) and 8 mA (24 V)
- working voltage: 12, 24 and 48 V (self-detection)
- maximum current magnitude through the shunt: -500 to +500 A (discharging and charging the battery)
- maximum deviation in voltage reading ±0.01 A at 0-100 V
- maximum deviation in current reading ±0.01 A with 500 A shunt
- maximum capacity reading deviation ±0.1 Ah for battery capacities 0-100 Ah
- maximum deviation in capacity reading ±1 Ah for battery capacity 100 - 9999 Ah
- maximum deviation in charge reading ±0.1%
- maximum deviation in the estimation of the remaining time ±1 hour (in the range of 1-240 hours)
- maximum deviation in power reading ±1 W in the range from - 100 W to 1 kW
- for total battery capacity 20 - 9999 Ah
- operating temperature range -20 to +50 °C
- circular diameter of the custom tracker: 63 mm
- square size of the custom tracker cap: 69 x 69 mm
- depth of custom tracker: 31 mm
- switched relay: 60V/1 A maximum
- weight of the tracker: 70 g
- weight of the sidewall: 315 g
- sidewall connection screws: M10
- material: plastic

The tracker stores selected historical data and the limit values reached:
- deepest battery discharge achieved
- the rate of the last battery discharge
- number of discharging/charging cycles of the battery
- average battery discharge value
- number of full battery discharges
- maximum battery voltage reached
- minimum battery voltage reached
- number of days since the last full battery charge

The BMV-700 tracker delivery includes:
- custom tracker with backlit digital display and controls
- plastic tracker cap with dimensions 69 x 69 mm
- 500A/50mV shunt designed for a maximum current of 500 A (to be installed on the negative battery cable)
- 10 meters long RJ12 UTP communication and power cable (connection of the tracker to the shunt)
- 2 meter long installation cable with fuse for connection to the positive cable.

The tracker performs sophisticated tracking of energy supplied and drawn, together with consideration of an adjustable Peukert exponent value (the greater the energy draw, the greater the relative decrease in the amount of available energy in the battery, and vice versa) and battery efficiency to estimate the actual amount of energy (Ah) and the battery's charge rate (in percentage). To correctly display the amount of available energy in the battery, it is necessary that all energy entering and leaving the battery pass through the shunt.
The tracker itself can be integrated into the wall without the need for access from the rear (covered with screws).
For currents greater than 500 A, a replacement shunt designed for 1000 and 2000 A currents can be supplied. Shunts up to a maximum current of 9 999 A with a voltage range of 1 - 100 mV (both adjustable) can be used on the tracer.
The monitor has a switched relay. This is activated/deactivated based on the measured battery charge rate. It is factory set to turn on when the battery charge level drops below 50% and turn off when the battery charge level reaches 90%. These values can be changed in the settings. It is also possible to reverse the switching logic, i.e. by default the relay is on, by default it is off. The relay can be used to switch on/off devices such as an external alarm, power supply, etc.
The tracker can be connected to other devices. The tracker can be connected to the large colour display Color Control GX. To connect the BMV700 tracker with the Color control GX display, either the VE.Direct cable or the VE.Direct-USB communication interface must be purchased.

Saved settings and measured historical and limit data remain saved even if the power to the tracker is interrupted.

Visual and acoustic alarms for over or under voltage, charged or discharged battery.

Possibility to switch an additional power source such as a generator via a relay under defined conditions.
