Product detailed description

Appliance disconnector as protection against deep battery discharge. Maximum than proud load 220 A. BatteryProtect disconnects the battery from insignificant loads before the battery is completely discharged (which would cause it to be destroyed) or while it still has enough capacity to start the engine.

Automatic 12/24V settings:
- batteryProtect BatteryProtect automatically detects the voltage in the system.

Easily programmable:
- batteryProtect can be configured to connect/interconnect to several different voltage levels.
- the seven-part display will show which setting has been selected.

Special settings for Li-ion batteries:
- in this mode, BatteryProtect can be controlled via the VE.Bus BMS bus.

Very low power consumption:
- low power consumption is very important for a Li-ion battery, especially after switching off at low voltage.

Surge protection:
- in the event of an overvoltage resulting in possible damage to sensitive instruments, the instruments are disconnected until the DC reaches 16 V or 32 V.

Resistant to tackle:
- does not work with relay elements, but with MOSFET transistor switches, no other arises.

Delayed alarm output:
- alarm output is activated in case of charging voltage below the set value for more than 12 seconds. Starting the engine, therefore, does not activate the alarm. The alarm output is an open collector output on the negative bus, max. proud 50 mA. The alarm output typically connects to a buzzer or to a light.

Delayed load shedding:
- the load is disconnected 90 seconds after the alarm has been triggered. If during this time the battery voltage rises to the "connection threshold" level (e.g. during engine start), the load will not be disconnected.

BatteryProtect is unidirectional, i.e. current can only pass from the "in" input to the "out" output. Reverse current coming from the "out" output to the "in" input is not allowed and will damage the device.
