The DC-DC 25 A Intelligent Battery Charger is designed to charge a secondary (auxiliary) battery while driving using the primary (starter) battery connected to the alternator.
Allows to charge: lead liquid, gel, AGM and lithium batteries using multi-stage charging.
Thanks to its light weight and compact design, the charger can be installed in caravans, utility vehicles or boats, but also to work in some harsh environments, which is very common in off-road vehicles or touring cars. When the engine and alternator are running, it recharges the batteries that are used on board vehicles or boats.
Using a charger will extend the life of the superstructure battery. The alternator alone will not provide multi-state charging and is not suitable for lithium batteries which is addressed by the 35979 smart charger. The charger will prevent the primary starter battery from discharging.
