The Shelly Dimmer Gen3 is a compact single-circuit light dimmer that allows precise control of lighting brightness from a smartphone, tablet, computer or home automation system. It works over a local Wi-Fi network without the need for an additional hub and also supports remote control via the cloud. You can work with or without a zero wire. The device also offers Wi-Fi signal amplification systems, Bluetooth and BLE Gateway collaboration, and a range of automation options, including schedules, scripts, and integrations with the likes of Home Assistant, Google Home, Alexa, and SmartThings.

Working with and without neutral conductor
The Shelly Dimmer Gen3 allows installation in both zero-wire and no-wire systems, which is key when retrofitting existing installations. A Bypass module is required for zero wire operation when below 20W - such a solution offers no lamp lighting when the lamp is switched off.

Precise measurement and protection
When a neutral wire is connected, the device allows the measurement of voltage (180-240 V), current (0-3 A) and power consumption. These measurements are made with an accuracy of ±5 %. In addition, the device is equipped with an internal temperature sensor and short-circuit and overload protection. Note: these functions only work properly when the neutral wire is connected.

Convenient control and precise dimming
The product supports trailing edge mode, which provides a wide range of light sources - from LED (up to 150 W) to halogen lamps (up to 200 W) and electronic transformers. Automatic dimmer calibration ensures an even st effect regardless of the type of light source. Built-in features such as minimum and maximum brightness settings, transition time and night mode settings allow full control of the lighting - both manually and through timed schedules.

Automation and advanced plans
Shelly Dimmer Gen3 supports up to 20 plans and 20 webhooks (with 5 URLs for each). Allows you to create advanced scenarios using scripts and local actions. You can schedule brightness changes, transition times, and auto light on/off settings. With support for MQTT, KVS and virtual components, deep integration with select building automation systems is possible.
