- if smoke is detected, the detector beeps loudly and the red LED flashes simultaneously. For safety reasons, the alarm cannot be muted or switched off. It will remain active until the air is cleared again.

Where to place it:
- from a safety point of view, it is clearly best to install it in every room in the house. You never know where a fire outbreak will form, and the more detectors you have, the quicker you'll know. But avoid the kitchen, bathroom and garage - water vapour, cooking fumes or exhaust fumes can trigger false alarms.
