Portable monocrystalline solar panels are suitable for home use as well as for places without electricity, such as cottages, caravans, gardens or popular campsites. They consist of cells made from a single piece of monocrystalline silicon, which is produced by hot drawing the crystal. The main advantage of monocrystalline panels is the lower temperature coefficient. In PRACTICE, this means that if a panel heats up in warm weather, then a monocrystalline panel will produce more electricity than a polycrystalline panel, which has a higher temperature coefficient.
