A welding hood, also known as a welding shield or welding mask, is a protective device used in welding and other work that requires protection of the face and eyes from sparks, melt spatter, ultraviolet and infrared radiation, and harmful gases. This mask is made of durable ABS plastic and equipped with a certified self-darkening filter to protect your eyes while working. The intensity of the dimming filter can be adjusted according to the type of work and exposure. When the work is finished, the filter returns to its original brightness. The hood is fitted with adjustable padded head straps (cross) that allow secure fixing on the head and ensure that the hood stays in place while working.

The hood is not suitable for laser and autogenous welding.
