Modification

Modification is an adjustment, a change to the original, which results in something new, having different properties and use. In some cases, replacing the product with a newer version of the same product.

Examples of modification
Modification of the aesthetics and technical parts of the car (car tuning)
Genetic modification of agricultural crops
Replacing components of a computer assembly for the purpose of increasing performance most often
