Monocrystalline cell
In order to produce a single crystal cell, a uniform quartz crystal ingot must be produced. Such production is quite difficult. The round ingot is then cut into so-called slices, which are trimmed to the desired size of the photovoltaic cell. Since the ingot is formed as one large silicon crystal, its structure is uniform and very pure.

Benefits of single crystal
Higher cell efficiency and therefore higher power output from the same area. Slightly slower "aging" of the silicon, i.e. the panel performance decreases more slowly with time. cell colouration is homogeneous, panels are not "mottled".
