The TL-WA850RE wireless access point meets the 802.11n Wi-Fi standard with a transfer rate of up to 300 Mbit / s. The device is thus particularly suitable for home use, where it will be ideal for video streaming, file sharing or online gaming. It will also serve well in smaller businesses for wireless expansion of an existing wired network. It is fully compatible with legacy network elements operating under the traditional 802.11b/g standard. By default, the access point operates in Range Extender mode, where it collects the transmitted signal from routers or other access points and repeats this signal to uncovered areas. Furthermore, it can operate in the classic AP mode and provide a connection between the wired segment of the network and the wireless segment. These activities are provided by an integrated omnidirectional antenna with 2 dBi power. The protection of the data transmission itself is guaranteed by the security of WPA2 technology with AES encryption. An interesting feature is the support of CCA technology improving wireless transmission thanks to automatic conflict avoidance on individual channels. There is one LAN connector in the interface. The big advantage with this model is that it can be plugged directly into a power outlet and no additional adapter with cable is needed. In the contents of the package you will find an Ethernet cable with RJ-45 connector, a CD with an application for easy installation and user manuals.
