Photovoltaic panel made of polycrystalline silicon. Duralumin frame 30mm, cover glass.
Polycrystalline cell:
A substrate is made from smaller silicon crystals and compacted into a single unit. The round ingot is then cut into so-called wafers, which are trimmed to the required PV cell size. Understandably, this technology cannot achieve such purity of material, there are visible transitions between the crystals.
Advantages of polycrystal:
Slightly higher production yield from scattered light (adverse lighting conditions)
