This quick connector is the socket half of the WHITE LINE push-fit system, sized to fit both 1/2'' and 5/8'' garden hose - covering the two most common hose diameters with one fitting.
Fit it to the end of a hose (or to a nipple already screwed onto a tap or accessory) and any matching quick-connect nipple snaps in and out without tools, which speeds up switching between a sprinkler, nozzle and a second hose length.
