Large refurbishment kit for mechanical removal of damaged headlight coating

This kit is used for scratched, cracked, or otherwise deeply damaged headlights. Sanding and subsequent polishing will restore clarity, surface graying, yellowing and dulling of headlights. Using a conventional or cordless drill, it removes dents, stone pits, abrasions, cracks and other surface defects in parts made of hardened, not only clear, plastics intended for motoring, etc. Polishing is carried out mechanically only, without chemical degradation of the headlamp surface. As CAREX polishing paste is water-based, it is therefore not chemically aggressive like competitors' pastes, which are mainly intended for manual polishing.

Usage:

The headlights are washed, dried and the surrounding parts are taped with e.g. painter's tape.
The holder is mounted in the drill and a grinding wheel of a given grit according to the initial condition of the headlight is attached to it with Velcro. The surface defects are ground out with P240 grit dry, other grits are used while the surface is moistened with water until P3000 grit is used.
Next, a polishing foam is attached to the carrier, moistened with a few drops of water, a little polishing paste is applied to it with the finger and the headlight surface is polished to the desired condition, occasionally moistening the foam or adding paste.
After washing and drying, a thin protective film of carnauba wax is applied to the surface with an applicator, which is spread with a second applicator after 20 minutes.
Thanks to the machine application of the set, the result is incomparable compared to polishing by hand.
