DAB.PREFILTER (IS) - cast iron prefilters

The DAB.PREFILTER (IS) range includes cast iron prefilters designed for integration with monoblock centrifugal pumps in large filtration and water circulation systems. These prefilters are built to DIN 2501 standards and feature stainless steel AISI 316 baskets for durability and corrosion resistance. The cast iron lid and inlet filter ensure robust construction, while 3 or 4 special closing screws provide secure sealing. Available with connection sizes from DN 65 to DN 200, these units are suitable for use with NKM-G/NKP-G series pumps (DN 40–150), KDN series pumps, and MCE converters.

Typical applications include swimming pool and saltwater pump systems, industrial water treatment, and large-scale filtration systems where reliable pre-filtration is essential to protect downstream equipment.

How to choose

• Match the prefilters to the pump inlet size (e.g., DN 65, DN 80–100–125) to ensure proper flow compatibility.
• Verify that the connection type and thread match the system piping and pump specifications.
• Confirm compatibility with pump models such as NKM-G, NKP-G, KDN, or MCE converters.
• Consider the material construction (cast iron body, stainless steel basket) for use in aggressive or chlorinated water environments.

Frequently asked questions

Can DAB.PREFILTER (IS) units be used with KDN series pumps?
