Gel batteries have become an alternative to conventional lead-acid batteries. In contrast, gel models are maintenance-free batteries. This means that they do not require refilling of electrolytes. The tight casing and the electrolyte in the form of a gel speak in their favour. This prevents leakage, so the battery can be held in any position and is more resistant to shocks.

Gel battery life
One of the biggest advantages of gel batteries is their durability. Of all the batteries available on the market, this type is the longest lasting, as it can last up to twelve years with proper use. Importantly, gel batteries are also more resistant to changing and extreme weather conditions.

Choosing a gel battery
