A thermomanometer puts both readings a technician needs at a boiler - flow temperature and system pressure - on one 63 mm dial, so there is no second instrument to fit or check. Temperature is picked up by a bimetallic spiral through the 1/2'' pocket, while a Bourdon tube reads pressure via the 1/4'' axial port; both needles share the aluminium face behind an acrylic window in an ABS case.
