The PNI CT28M is a control module that receives commands from room thermostats and opens or closes the valves or thermal actuators of individual underfloor heating circuits accordingly. It handles up to eight zones, so each room can have its own temperature.
It communicates wirelessly with PNI CT28 PRO thermostats on 868 MHz. Pairing is done on the module itself: you select a zone, start pairing on the thermostat and on the module, and the zone LED confirms the connection. Thermostats and the Wi-Fi gateway are sold separately, or you can buy the complete PNI CT28 Pro 8 kit.
The module is powered from 230 V AC mains and provides a pump output (230 V AC) plus a voltage-free output for the heating system, so it can be linked to a boiler or another heat source. The total current of all zones may reach 3 A, with a maximum of 2 A per zone.
Installation and use
The module measures 350 x 55 x 115 mm and is placed next to the underfloor heating manifold. Mains wiring and connection to the valves should be done by a qualified installer. To change temperature from your phone, add the PNI CT28WIFI gateway and the Tuya Smart app.
Frequently asked questions
Does it work without Wi-Fi?
Yes. The thermostats talk to the module by radio, so regulation works without internet. The Wi-Fi gateway only adds app control.
How many thermostats can be connected?
The module is built for eight zones, i.e. eight underfloor heating circuits.
