The PNI GV10 is a solenoid valve for gas pipes with a 1 inch internal thread on both ends. It acts as the output element of a gas detector: when the detector senses a leak at the alarm level it sounds and the valve shuts off the gas supply.
The valve closes on a short 9–12 V DC pulse and closing takes 1 second or less. Once the cause of the leak has been fixed, it is reopened by hand: after removing the protective cap, simply lift the red button.
The body is made of aluminium alloy and the NBR rubber seals resist moisture. The valve is compact (77 x 45 x 115 mm) and weighs 0.3 kg.
Installation and compatibility
The valve is installed on the gas pipe in an accessible, ventilated place. Operating temperature is −10 to +50 °C. Before buying, check that your connection matches a 1 inch thread and that the control output of your detector delivers a 9–12 V pulse.
Work on the gas line and commissioning must be done by a qualified person authorised to work on gas installations. The valve does not replace the inspection of the gas appliance.
