Product detailed description

The PNI MW 18-12S is a sealed AGM lead-acid battery rated at 12 V and 18 Ah. It is intended mainly as a backup power source for alarm, burglary and surveillance systems, but it can also serve as a periodically recharged source for stand-alone or portable equipment.

Once installed it needs no maintenance. The gases formed during charging are converted back into water inside the sealed case, so nothing has to be topped up. The electrolyte is held in glass fibre separators, which is why the battery can be mounted in almost any position.

At 181 x 77 x 167 mm and roughly 4.9 kg it is easy to carry. The photos show the red cover over the positive terminal and the black lid with a barcode label.

Connection and use

Operating temperature is -20 to +50 degrees C. The terminals are M5 screw terminals. Charge the battery with a charger or power supply designed for 12 V lead-acid AGM batteries, following the battery manufacturer's data.
