The PNI SmartHome SM440 is a socket you plug into an ordinary 230 V outlet, and then connect a lamp or small appliance to it. You can then switch the appliance on or off remotely without getting out of bed or going home – for example turning a lamp on before you enter the house, or starting the coffee maker in the morning.

Important: this socket only works in the PNI SmartHome SM400 system. It talks to the central unit on the 433 MHz radio band (range up to 100 m) and is operated in the PNI Smart Home app for Android and iOS. It does not connect to a home router on its own like a Wi-Fi socket.

The maximum supported load is 3000 W for resistive appliances and 230 W for inductive ones, the minimum is 7 W. In timer mode you set how long it takes before the connected appliance switches off. The timer can be set with the SET button on the socket or from the app.
