The PNI SVM-10K is a single-phase servo-motor voltage stabiliser rated 10 kVA (8000 W). It is meant for anywhere you need a steady 230 V for a larger number of appliances – a family house, workshop, farm or small industrial site. When the mains voltage changes, the stabiliser automatically brings it as close as possible to the preset value.
Regulation is continuous: a control circuit measures the input voltage and signals a servo motor that sets the position of the carbon brush, so the output stays constant and the sine wave is not distorted. Efficiency is at least 96 %.
Two displays on the front show the input and output voltage. Protection includes an automatic circuit breaker for overload, short circuit and overheating, mechanical error detection, a start-up delay, and output overvoltage (250 V) and undervoltage (183 V) cut-outs.
Installation and operation
The stabiliser is wired through a terminal block on the rear, so it should be connected by a qualified electrician. It measures 410 x 240 x 370 mm and weighs about 29 kg packed, so plan for help when handling it. It operates at −10 to +45 °C and up to 95 % humidity, non-condensing.
