The 20 × 20 × 20 mm press tee is used to create a branch on a line made of PEX-AL-PEX multilayer pipe with an outer diameter of 20 mm. All three outlets are the same size, so you can split the main line into two directions without changing the diameter – for example when connecting a bathroom, a kitchen or a utility room from a single distribution line.

The body is made of nickel-plated brass, which is corrosion-resistant and easy to install. The fitting is joined by pressing – once pressed, the joint is firm and permanently tight, with no sealants or additional sealing. The sleeves have inspection holes that let you check during installation that the pipe is inserted all the way to the stop. The manufacturer gives a 10-year warranty on the fitting.

Installation and use

Cut the pipe square, deburr the end and calibrate it with a suitable tool. Then push it into the fitting sleeve all the way to the stop and check its position through the inspection hole. Press the joint with press pliers or a press machine fitted with U-profile jaws for the 20 mm size. A pressed joint cannot be taken apart, so check the direction of the branch and the position of the fitting before pressing.

For the brass fittings of the PEX-AL-PEX system, a hygiene certificate from the national institute of public health (PZH) has been issued for use in drinking water installations. You will find a copy in the related files of the product. Before commissioning, flush the finished installation with a volume of water that completely replaces the water in it.
