The Ermenrich Zing ST30 socket tester is designed to test whether all sockets are properly connected and to check the voltage. The tester needs to be plugged directly into the socket and the flashing LED lights indicate various electrical faults: missing earth wire / missing neutral wire, reversed polarity of phase and neutral wire or reversed polarity of phase and earth wire. In addition, a specific color code that appears on the tester's display indicates the correct wiring condition. The function of each code is written on the instrument.
