The TP-Link TL-WN725N is a miniature client adapter designed for connection via USB interface, thus primarily for use in laptops and other compact computers. It operates with the 2.4 GHz band, specifically according to the newer IEEE 802.11 b/g/n standards. The card supports data rates up to 150 Mbit/s depending on signal strength and supports Ad-Hoc and Infrastructure modes. An integrated omnidirectional antenna is included and the maximum output power of the device is 20 dBm. This makes the card suitable for universal use. Security protocols include WEP with a strength of 64 or 128 bits, there is also a more modern and secure version of WPA or WPA2 including PSK and encryption of both AES and TKIP.
