Adex AD1000-8GPD-2FM is a manageable gigabit switch with reverse PoE function in a desktop design in a metal body. It features eight gigabit ports, seven of which are PoE-in and one POE-out, as well as two fiber ports for SFP modules. Ports 1 to 7 do not communicate with each other, but instead all ports communicate with port 8 (Poe Out). With the Power-over-Ethernet feature, ports 1 to 7 can automatically detect and receive power from IEEE 802.3af / compliant Powered Devices (PD). In this case, power is transmitted together with data in a single cable. This allows you to extend the network quite easily in places where no power outlets are available or, for example, when repairing an AP. The switch facilitates power supply when installed in corridors or locations where cables are already routed in the building. With Plug and Play, no installation or configuration is required. Up to seven ports are used to power the switch, which can then further power other devices via a passive poe or jack connector (such as ONT units). It can be used wherever a stable power supply for one device is needed, for example in camera systems and in wireless or fiber optic installations.
