Adex ADS208GRP-VPO is the next generation of Adex reverse switches. It is a web smart manageable gigabit switch with reverse PoE functionality, housed in a very compact metal body. It is equipped with eight gigabit ports and a unique variable PoE feature. This feature allows you to seamlessly switch the PoE port settings as needed from PoE out to PoE in and vice versa while the switch is running. This gives you maximum variability for use in locations where there are no power outlets available, or when repairing an AP, for example. The maximum voltage is 48V. The switch also has a power jack connector, designed for example for powering GPON OLT, the output voltage is adjustable within the limits of 5V/9V/12V. Another unique feature is a terminal block allowing connection of a backup battery. The battery is recharged during standard operation of the switch, when the voltage fails the switch automatically switches to the battery and continues operation. The switch makes it very easy to power up when installed in corridors, while providing broadband access for the average household or small business that already has cables running in the building, for example. With Plug and Play, there is no installation or configuration required. Depending on the need for one to seven ports, it is used to power the switch, which can then further power other devices via a passive poe or jack connector (such as ONT units). It can be used wherever a stable power supply for one device is needed, for example in camera systems and in wireless or fiber optic installations.
