Product detailed description

ADEX Comfort R (original version Adex Comfort 12)

This controller is the successor to the ADEX Comfort 12 type. It retains all its heating circuit control functions, but offers a new approach and new possibilities in the connection of boilers, storage tanks and boilers, plus it includes a contact for the DHW pump
1. Heating system with boiler temperature control
This wiring can be preferably used for boilers that need to maintain the recommended operating temperature. This can be both solid fuel and gas fired boilers. Because the boiler outlet temperature is regulated by controlling the temperature gradient at the radiators, heating systems with imperfect circulation in the boiler circuit can also be operated reliably. The controller can cope with installations where there is no boiler circuit at all.
The regulator will therefore maintain the desired boiler temperature for systems with both four-way and three-way mixing valves. For a system with a four-way valve and a boiler pump, it will then also indirectly ensure that the required minimum boiler return water temperature is also maintained.
Heating of domestic water is provided in both winter and summer mode.
2. Solid fuel boiler room with backup boiler in the heating circuit
When the solid fuel boiler temperature is insufficient, the controller closes the mixing valve and switches to operation with the back-up boiler. The backup boiler then switches in a 10-minute cycle to maintain the desired temperature in the heating circuit.
The back-up boiler may be electric or gas-fired and must be fitted with its own circulating pump. The gas boiler must be sufficiently resistant to low temperature corrosion.
The DHW is heated by a solid fuel boiler only. The temperature of the domestic water drawn can be controlled by a thermostatic mixing valve installed at the outlet of the boiler.
3. Solid fuel boiler room with back-up boiler in the boiler circuit
The connection can be used for single and Multi-circuit heating systems with a back-up boiler. The back-up boiler can be both gas and electric. When the solid fuel boiler is not hot enough, the controller switches to operation with the back-up boiler. The backup boiler is permanently switched on, the temperature in the heating circuit is controlled by a mixing valve.
Heating of domestic water is provided in winter and summer mode.
4. Solid fuel boiler room with storage tank and back-up boiler
In the basic circuit, the controller provides heat from the solid fuel boiler directly to the building. Only surplus heat not needed by the building is stored in the storage tank.
For "Discharge ACU only" wiring, the controller heats the object only when the storage tank is charged
to the required temperature.
If the temperature in the accumulation tank, even in a solid fuel boiler, is insufficient, the controller checks that the tank is discharged to the temperature selected by the user. If so, the controller closes the mixing valve and switches to operation with the backup boiler.
Thus, the user can determine the discharge rate of the storage tank. Before switching on the backup boiler, the storage tank is always discharged to a minimum temperature specified by the user.
The storage boiler may be electric or gas-fired and must be fitted with its own circulating pump. The gas boiler must be sufficiently resistant to low temperature corrosion.
5. Solid fuel boiler room with storage tank with the possibility to connect a boiler for controlled DHW heating
In the basic circuit, the controller supplies heat from the boiler directly to the building. Only surplus heat not needed by the building is stored in the storage tank.
For "Discharge ACU Only" wiring, the controller will only start heating the building after the storage tank is charged to the required temperature.
When the tank is discharged, the controller shuts off the circulator, closes the mixing valve and waits for a new flood in the boiler.
It is possible to connect a DHW heater with a charge pump to the storage tank. The controller then switches the charge pump according to the thermostat of the DHW (TTUV) as per the temperatures on the K and V sensors.
