BRA.B2.100 GAS - ball valves series B2 - for gas
This category includes flanged ball valves from the GV series B2, designed for gas systems. These valves are suitable for use with gases classified under G1 and G2 according to PED 2014/68/EU, and are compatible with pressurised air. They operate within a temperature range of -10°C to +70°C and are constructed with a ductile iron body (GJS 400-15), bronze ball (CuZn40Pb2), and chrome-plated bronze stem. Sealing materials include PTFE for the ball and NBR for the stem. These valves are full-bore, split-body design, and compatible with actuators via ISO 5211 mounting.
They are not suitable for steam or flow regulation. Available in DN 20 to DN 150, these valves are intended for installation in gas distribution systems, industrial gas handling, and pressurised air applications.
How to choose
- Match the DN size to the nominal pipe diameter of the system (e.g., DN 20 to DN 150).
- Ensure the flange rating (PN 16) matches the system pressure requirements.
- Confirm compatibility with gas class (G1 or G2) and operating temperature (-10°C to +70°C).
- Verify ISO 5211 actuator mounting if automation is required.
- Check that the system does not require steam or flow regulation, as these valves are not suitable for such applications.
Frequently asked questions
