CLEO OVOSCOP 230V egg hood - CLEO OVOSCOP 230V

Unique egg hatcher suitable for controlling eggs during incubation. The illuminator is equipped with a bulb strong enough to illuminate the shell so that you can easily distinguish whether your hatching eggs are fertilized or not. The hatcher has a handy hole in which you can conveniently place the egg when hatching. The high-quality egg viewer is powered directly from the 230V electricity supply, so you don't have to think about changing the batteries.

For which types of eggs is the egg hatcher suitable

The CLEO OVOSCOP aerator has a hole above the bulb in which you can comfortably place hen and duck eggs when aerating.

Control of hatching eggs

The first fertility check of the eggs takes place at the end of the first third of hatching, i.e. for hen eggs it is day 8. The eggs are shone briefly so that light penetrates through the shell. In a healthy and fertilized egg, the vascular structure is beautifully distinct with a gradually developing embryo, unlike unfertilized eggs which remain cloudy. Unfertilized eggs or dead embryos need to be discarded from the hatchery after hatching. Egg inspection is a very important point in home hatching because if these defective eggs are discarded, disease can spread in the hatchery and hence significantly reduce egg hatchability.
