Cyrix-ct 12-24V 120A battery connector KIT
Code: ABCT_A500004598Product detailed description
The Cyrix-CT intelligent battery interconnector monitors and controls the charging, disconnection of the starter and service battery. If one of the batteries reaches 13.0 V (26 V) for 10 minutes or 13.8 V (27.6 V) for 4 seconds, Cyrix-ct connects both batteries and charges both batteries simultaneously to full state. When the voltage on either battery drops below 12.8 V (25.6 V) for 10 minutes or 11.8 V (23.6 V) for 4 seconds, the batteries are disconnected from each other. This connection and disconnection works both ways. Batteries may have different capacities, types and designs. Each battery is assumed to power its own appliance. The model is equipped with thermal protection. In the event of high ambient temperature or excessive charging current, it will shut down. As soon as the temperature drops, the Cyrix-ct will automatically activate. Intelligent battery monitoring Some battery jumpers disconnect the battery as soon as they detect a short but strong current. They may also stop working when a large but discharged battery is connected, as the DC voltage immediately jumps below an unacceptable value even though the batteries are connected. The Cyrix-CT software does more than connect and disconnect batteries based on the battery voltage, which it records for a certain fixed time. Cyrix-CT follows the general trend of voltage rise or fall and tries to change the current state only if the voltage trend changes over a certain time. This time depends on the magnitude of the voltage deviation from the voltage trend. It favours the starter battery In a typical system, the alternator is directly connected to the starter battery. The auxiliary battery and all others are connected to the starter battery via a Cyrix CT transfer switch. When the CyrixCT senses that the starter battery has reached the connection voltage, a connection occurs to allow the batteries to charge in parallel. Bi-directional voltage and power from both batteries CyrixCT monitors the voltage of both connected batteries. It will connect them even if the additional battery is being charged by the charger. CyrixCT has dual power supply. It also works even if the voltage of one battery is very low. To avoid unexpected operations during installation or while one battery is disconnected, CyrixCT will not operate if one of the two batteries has a voltage <2V (<4V in a 24V system). Parallel wiring in case of emergency The CyrixCT can also connect batteries at the push of a button. CyrixCT will leave the batteries connected for 30sec. Or manually connect the batteries in parallel. This is useful in an emergency when the starter battery is weak or damaged.
