Can I use this product to keep ice free a thin balcony drain pipe, which is made of PVC? This drain pipe often gets clogged with ice during winter snows and icicles form quickly at its exit, which is concerning because I live of the 5th floor. I was wondering if I could get this product, pull the cable through holes in the wall that are already used by the air conditioning cables/hoses and put this product directly into the PVC drain pipe thereby preventing the icicles from forming at the end of the pipe. Would this work? Also, could I leave this product running forever? Thank you, I am looking for anti-icicle solutions that don't require any maintenance.
