HT slip coupling for repairs and alterations

A slip coupling is a double socket with no stop in the middle. Because nothing blocks the pipe inside, the coupling can be pushed completely over one pipe end and then drawn back across the joint.

When you need one

• replacing a cracked or blocked section of pipe,
• adding a branch or a cleaning piece to pipework that is already installed,
• joining two plain pipe ends.

Fitting notes

Cut out the damaged length, deburr and lubricate both ends, slide the coupling onto one of them, insert the new part and move the coupling back until the joint sits in its middle. Support the pipe with clips on both sides, as the coupling does not carry the run.
