The RBwAPG-60ad is a revolutionary new addition to the MikroTik range that will appeal to anyone who builds short distance links. The RBwAPG-60ad is a 60GHz client PTMP unit operating with the 802.11ad standard, which in real-world operation allows throughput of up to 1000Mbps Full Duplex over distances of up to 100m. As always, the RouterBoard is equipped with the very popular RouterOS operating system with L3 license. To upgrade the unit to an AP, only an L4 license needs to be purchased. The RBwAPG-60ad features 1x Gigabit Ethernet with PoE support and a DC power jack. The device can be powered via active (802.3af/at) and passive (12 to 57V DC) PoE or DC jack with a range of 12 to 57V DC. The maximum power consumption of the device is only 5W! Device installation Installation of the device is very simple and thanks to the 60° integrated antenna, it can be installed on a wall/mast or directly behind a window using the included plastic stand. Legislation Installation of the link must be carried out in accordance with the applicable general authorisation. The 60GHz band in which the MikroTik RBwAPG-60ad operates precludes permanent outdoor installations.
