Weld protectors are commonly used when joining two fibres. The protection is designed to protect the welded joint and the exposed fibres after welding is complete. The weld protection consists of cross-linked polyolefin heat shrinkable tubes, hote melt tubes and stainless steel needles. It is specially designed for optical weld protection.
