The PNI CT28 Pro 8 is a ready-made kit that splits underfloor heating into eight separately controlled rooms. The box holds eight wireless CT28 PRO thermostats, a CT28M control module with eight zones and a CT28WIFI Wi-Fi gateway, so there is no need to put the components together one by one.

The thermostats measure room temperature and send commands by 868 MHz radio to the module, which opens and closes the valves or thermal actuators of the matching circuits. The gateway connects the system to your home Wi-Fi so temperatures can be viewed and changed from your phone in the Tuya Smart app.

Every thermostat offers a daily programme with four time zones, a weekly programme, anti-freeze protection, open window detection and a key lock. It runs on two AAA alkaline batteries, so it can sit on a desk or hang on a wall without a cable.

What the kit consists of

• 8 x PNI CT28 PRO wireless thermostat (white, ABS);
• 1 x PNI CT28M control module for 8 zones (230 V AC, 350 x 55 x 115 mm);
• 1 x PNI CT28WIFI gateway (Wi-Fi 2.4 GHz, 868 MHz radio).

Installation

The module is mounted next to the underfloor heating manifold and connected to 230 V, so it should be wired by a qualified installer. The thermostats are then paired to it zone by zone: select a zone on the module, start pairing on the thermostat and on the module, and the zone LED confirms the link.

Can the kit be expanded?
The kit covers eight zones, which is the capacity of one module. Additional circuits would need another module.

Does it work without internet?
Yes. Thermostats and module cooperate by radio even without Wi-Fi. The gateway only adds app control.
