The SmartShunt IP65 is a battery monitor just like the BMV series, only without the display. The display becomes your smartphone with the VictronConnect app. You can download the VictronConnect app for free on Google Play or in the App Store. SmartShunt IP65 is waterproof and is available in 500A, 1000A or 2000A versions. The SmartShunt IP65 connects via Bluetooth to the VictronConnect app on your smartphone (or tablet) and conveniently reads all monitored battery parameters such as charge status, historical information and much more. Alternatively, the SmartShunt IP65 can be connected to and read by a GX device. Connection to the SmartShunt is made using a VE.Direct cable. SmartShunt is a good alternative to the BMV battery monitor, especially for systems where battery monitoring is required but less cabling is required and a conventional display is not required. The SmartShunt features Bluetooth, a VE.Direct port and a connection that can be used to monitor a second battery, midpoint monitoring or to connect a temperature sensor.
