The PWM controller controls the charging and discharging of the battery - it adjusts the voltage from the solar panel so that it is usable for charging the battery and operating the 12V/24V load. This controller is designed for the construction of "island" systems (off-grid), i.e. for places without electricity, such as cottages, caravans, gardens, etc. To build a solar island system you need a solar panel, a solar controller and a battery. In case you do not use 12 V appliances, you also need a voltage converter.
