Photovoltaic solar panel 12V/20W polycrystalline
Photovoltaic panel made of polycrystalline silicon. Duralumin frame 25mm, cover glass.

Polycrystalline cell:
It makes a substrate out of smaller silicon crystals that are compacted into a single unit.
The round ingot is then cut into so-called wafers, which are cut to the required PV cell size.
Understandably, this technology cannot achieve such purity of the material, there are visible transitions between the crystals.

Advantages of polycrystal:
Slightly higher production yield from scattered light (adverse lighting conditions)
