The MC200CM is a media converter designed to convert media from 1000BASE-SX optical line to 1000BASE-T metallic line and vice versa. The MC200CM media converter, which has been designed to IEEE802.3ab 1000Base-T and IEEE802.3z 1000Base-SX standards, is intended for use with multi-mode fiber optic cable with an SC-type connector. The MC200CM media converter supports the shortwave laser (SX) specification at maximum packet forwarding speed. It utilizes 850 nm wavelength for both receiving and sending data. Additional features of this module include the ability to be used as a standalone device (no chassis required) or with a TP-LINK 19' chassis, automatic MDI/MDI-X detection for the TX port, and front panel status LEDs. The MC200CM module supports data transmission over multi-mode fiber optic cable over distances up to 0.55 km.
