The USW-Lite-8-PoE is a Gigabit PoE L2 Switch from Ubiquiti Networks in a desktop design with a maximum PoE budget of 52W. Manageable switch with 8 Gigabit metallic ports and a total throughput of 16 Gbps. Only 4 ports out of 8 support 802.3af/at PoE power with a maximum power of 30W/port. Due to the low PoE budget, the switch is more suitable as a data switch with power for a few devices at the edge of the network. Management via UniFi Controller The fundamental difference between the UniFiSwitch and EdgeSwitch series is in management - the WebGUI management of the EdgeSwitches is replaced by the UniFi Controller on the UniFi Switch models.
