A rugged rackmount POE switch that is ideal for deployment in critical infrastructure locations is the USW Mission Critical. With triple input power options, it continuously powers connected devices even during power outages. In addition to the normal 230V AC power supply, the switch has an integrated battery that can deliver up to 368Wh of power. A 48V battery can also be connected externally. The switch has a total of 9 10/100/1000Mbps Ethernet ports, of which 4 ports support 802.3at (PoE+), another 4 ports support 802.3bt (PoE++) and the last port is without PoE capability. The total PoE budget is 120W. Another 80W is provided by a pair of standard power outlets on the back of the switch. Management of the switch takes place in the familiar UniFi Network Application interface, which can be installed on devices running Windows, macOS or Linux operating systems.
